Availability of Books

All the books by Antonia Forest were out of print for many years, and could only be borrowed from friends and libraries or bought second hand. The easiest to find are the four school stories, which were reprinted by Puffin in the 1980s. The "holiday" titles and the historical stories are much less common and are eagerly snapped up by fans whenever they appear for sale.

Reprint news

In 2002 Girls Gone By Publishers signed a contract with Faber & Faber for republishing Antonia Forest's books. They will be starting with the most sought-after titles and Falconer's Lure was published in February 2003. Read more on the reprint news page

Borrowing

A few copies remain in libraries, often hidden away in the stacks or reserve collections, so it is well worth checking the catalogues. Some locations of Antonia Forest titles are listed on the library holdings page. It may be possible to borrow books via an inter-library loan.

Buying

If you are trying to buy the books you might be interested in adding an entry to the Want-To-Buy list. Second hand bookshops, children's book dealers, online book searches and charity shops may all have copies for sale, at a wide range of prices.
